This book is poorly written, terribly organized, and horribly (I mean HORRIBLY) edited, but I almost gave it four stars. However, there are three formats to choose from and even if you simply want the book, be careful about your selection.We may already know when, where and how we will enter difficult circumstances, or we may not know when disaster strikes, but plan to prepare in advance. That was the incident that finally kicked by stupid arse back to America (where I was born) -- sadly, psychotic ex-boyfriends were not covered by Wiseman. So it is very important to choose equipment that is as light as possible and durable at the same time.

Only by knowing your exact latitude and longitude can you understand how far you are from your destination and how much you have passed from your starting point. I started this book with the intention to read it over time - I've recently been really interested in learning some survival skills, creating a bug out bag, etc.Every ounce matters and you probably don’t have the room to stick a hardback survival book in your bug out bag. A good or bad knot can make all the difference, Wiseman knows this and helps by concentrating on a small enough selection of useful knots to work with but broad enough variety to use for many applications.
