About this deal

This book was a cute read. There was something missing for me but ultimately did enjoy it. The author is talented, I'm just not sure I'm a fan of the situationship turned relationship because rarely do situationships ever end in monogamous relationships.

Dani was more of a struggle for me. I liked her nerdy side and her dedication to her research, but her commitment issues felt... tiresome for me by the end. It took forever for her to admit her feelings, and I grew tired of waiting for her to get there. I understand why she felt the way that she did, but it felt myself skimming and wanting them to just communicate. As if that alone didn’t make me me love him, he listens to smutty audiobooks! Ah, a man after my own heart. At one point he encounters the situation we all worry about when listening to smut in public, when the audiobook starts to play LOUDLY, and not through the earphones. I was torn between major second hand embarrassment and absolute hysterics. “Zaf”, she half shrieked, “is that porn?” “No!” The word came out a bit too loud to seem honest. “No,” he repeated through gritted teeth, trying to sound like a calm, sensible man instead of a raging pervert.“ PDF / EPUB File Name: Take_a_Hint_Dani_Brown_-_Talia_Hibbert.pdf, Take_a_Hint_Dani_Brown_-_Talia_Hibbert.epub Reread and I can’t even tell you how happy this book, this series makes me. All thanks to Talia Hibbert and her wonderfully engaging characters that shine through her writing. I have so much more that I love about this book but I’m struggling to be coherent about all the little details that made this book so wonderful! I think the best advice I can give is for you to read this book! At times it read too witty, and the banter was good but often never led anywhere since it took so long to get them in the sheets for me. I wish for as long as it took, that they would've at least gone on dates or hangouts that weren't booty calls. I never felt like they really knew each other outside of what they liked in the bedroom. Situationships rarely become deeper than that so while there's a desire for it, both parties rarely want more than what they're getting and because they did little to learn about each other, I wasn't sure it was this developed romance it's marketed to be.

I really enjoyed how it was almost a role reversal of what we find in a “typical” romance, where the male love interest appears to be the one who is pining from the beginning. Huge yes to rejecting gender stereotypes! She detected a faint note of wonder in his voice that made her want to squish his cheeks and kiss his forehead. Fortunately, he wasn't in the room, so she was saved from the horror of actually following that impulse. Major or minor, if something keeps you human when pressure makes you feel like a volcano, hold on to that thing by whatever means necessary."Many Americans—maybe the majority of us—think of England as looking more like the Queen than like Danika and Chloe Brown and their relatives: people like you, who are English via the Caribbean, via South Asia, via Africa, other places. And we know that the UK is more than 85% white. But especially in big cities, there is a lot more diversity. Are you hoping to correct our view of a monochromatic England? Idris Elba aside, isn't this something we should have caught up with a long time ago? Many thanks to Jessica Lyons @ HarperCollins and Edelweiss for my digital ARC, in exchange for an honest review! Then what's the murder glare for?" With complete seriousness, he told her, "This is just my face. I have a murder face."

Dani had a relationship where she was made to feel that she wasn't enough. This has influenced all her relationships after and she won't allow people to grow attachments and leaves if she feels they are. This is an issue that so many women feel that being just them isn't good enough Dani does take it to the extreme by refusing to compromise to at all. However this is clearly understandable but more important relatable. I found the way this was handle and portrayed was realistic. The friendships were amazing! Dani with Sorcha, and Zaf with Jamal. Zaf and Jamal reminded me of Red and Vik in the first book, and I loved how they provided emotional support for each other.

Talia Hibbert

For someone who’s very familiar w those words in her romances, this one actually got me blushing and shoOk yallll😳 i guess i just didn’t expect such carnal words to be used in here lol. Especially from our soft boi, Zaf. In a few words: An addictive diverse adult romance with fat rep, mental health rep, fake dating and the ultimate grumpy but soft love interest

I honestly don’t know how to comment on this bc i know not all muslims share the same opinion on certain subjects and we don’t necessarily practice the same thing bc of diff cultures and all, buuut i’m sure we can all unanimously agree on what’s ‘haram’ and what’s not. (at least the basics, right?¿)So yes, there was a lot to love about this book, but I did have some issues! Firstly, the plot kind of stalled in the middle of the book. There wasn't enough drama, and the pace slowed down due to many internal monologues. We knew from the start that Dani didn't do relationships, but I felt like I was being beaten over the head with it, as it was repeated over and over in both character's heads. I really enjoyed the first book in this series, Get A Life, Chloe Brown, but I really, REALLY enjoyed the second book. This was a brilliant 5 star read for me. I feel like I can’t stop talking about this one and I just might not! PS: Talia Hibbert included a trigger warning at the beginning of this book. Why dont all authors do this?!
