It is a winter scent i probably wouldn't try and pull this off in the summer, but if you have a decent collection of scents there is nothing wrong with saving this for 4 or 5 months out of the year. Perfume trends change, and if you don’t like this or prefer other traditionally masculine scents, it doesn’t mean you’re wrong or not a real man (whatever that means). I love smelling it soften up but sill hold onto what it was created to be, a strong manly scent, almost if the marlboro man had a signature scent this would be it. Even the bottle which is square with that pinstripes pattern on the front giving it a real masculinity identity.

Eau de Parfum contains between seven to fourteen per cent of fragrance oils and perfume elixirs and is the second strongest, and longest lasting means of wearing a fine fragrance. I wear this as a cold-weather daily office type scent, not going to blow anyone away but also not offensive.I experimented layering it with all of my favorite vanilla fragrances and it works like a charm with two of my Top favorites! It opens up with a bit strong soapy, fresh spicy, herbal, floral and spices notes in the background then dry down is semi sweet warm spicy, Balsamic, Tobacco and woody. This perhaps, is this design house's oldest fragrance so that's why it may be "dated" or smell "old" to some people. That being said, in a room where everyone else is wearing some permutation of Sauvage or an aquatic, this is of course going to be unique - that just doesn't mean it's particularly interesting.

Boss Number One begins with fresh and Bergamot, Artemisia, Juniper, Lemon, mouthwatering Green Apple, Caraway, Basil and a slight hint of Grapefruit.But for me his jewel of the crown is still Boss Number One, and this is the perfume that put Hugo Boss on the perfume map. Boss Original opens with bitter green artemisia, citrus, tobacco, honey, and then patchouli and oak moss in the dry down.
