If you hate spiky plastic brushes, you might want to avoid this one, though I have found that since the spikes are short and not too sharp, I don't end up stabbing myself in the eye like I do with some others (Benefit They're Real, for instance). It's easy to use and not messy, so it's the mascara I grab when I don't want to have to think about anything. The bristles are also the same flexible, grip-every-lash construction that you know and love from the original, but when you dip it into the mascara itself, that’s where things change. My only qualm is that the thicker brush doesn't grasp onto my outermost lashes without a little handy work.

This clean formula is free from parabens, sulfate, talc and mineral oil, and it’s infused with argan and marula oils to help condition lashes while you’re wearing it.
